Acer, the computer giant., no one's fool when it comes to contending in the P.C space, have announced their plans to enter the ebook book reader arena later this year.

Acer senior manager Jim Wong, head of the companies IT Products section, outlined the plans during an interview with Bloomberg at Acer's HQ in Taipei.

On the eve of Apple's purported entrance into the tablet sweeps-a gadget that will serve electronic-book readers plus others-Wong also said the company will in addition offer "hundreds" of apps online, programs which will support Google's Android program, at the present running on a number of Acer products, on top of supporting Microsoft's Windows OS.
